2012 Karaoke Contest

The Karaoke Contest will be held daily Saturday, July 7th through Thursday, July 12th. The first seven contestants to sign up each day, from Saturday to Wednesday, will compete for one of ten positions (there will be two qualifiers each day) for the Thursday July 12th Championship. You can sign up in the Pavilion at the T-Shirt Stand after 10:00 a.m. on the day you wish to compete.

The entry fee will be $5.00 per person and is due at sign-up. Contestants need to arrive in the Pavilion at 6:00 p.m. for performance position. Contests start each day at 6:30 p.m., with the exception of Wednesday. On Wednesday, contestants should arrive for performance position at 12:30 p.m. and the contest will start at 1:00 p.m. Each contestant will need to sing two songs of their choice. It is suggested that contestants bring their own karaoke discs to ensure that they have the version they are most comfortable with.

Thursday, July 12th Championship - The top two contestants from each day will advance to Thursday’s competition. At 11:30 a.m., contestants will be randomly drawn for performance positions. Thursday’s competition will start at noon. During Thursday’s contest, each contestant will need to sing three songs of their choice. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners of the Hodag Country Festival Karaoke Contest cannot compete the next year - example: 2011 winner cannot compete until 2013.
